11 Jul Ambler children learn lots about citizenship thanks to the emergency services
Ambler children learned all about citizenship thanks to the emergency services, as they took part in a special event last week.
They experienced different scenarios designed by members of the police, fire brigade and transport officers and adapted to suit local problems. These helped to raise each participant’s awareness of threats and dangers, in a fun and interactive way.
The children had to work together to discuss the best way to act in difficult situations, such as having your phone stolen, or working out what to do in the instance of a fire.
Ambler was one of many Islington schools taking part and both children and staff enjoyed the trip immensely. Please check out a few of our favourite photos from the day below:
