Ambler children spellbound by storyteller’s tall tales

02 Feb Ambler children spellbound by storyteller’s tall tales

Ambler children were spellbound by a storyteller’s tall tales this week, as Key Stage 2 were treated to a day with Emily Hana.

The special sessions for Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 took place on Tuesday 30th January to celebrate the 18th annual National Storytelling Week.

Our pupils were mesmerized as Emily entertained them by sharing her rich background in folk tales, myths, ballads, poems, and her fascination with the ancient art of oral storytelling.

The pupils then got to put their imaginative and creative skills to the test, practising their own methods of storytelling. Check out some of our favourite photos from the day below:

The children will use the day as inspiration for their next writing piece in Literacy and all their teachers cannot wait to see the end results!
