Ambler’s fundraising for the arts hits the heights of Go Ape

04 May Ambler’s fundraising for the arts hits the heights of Go Ape

Ambler’s fundraising for the arts hit the heights of Go Ape recently, generating more than £3,500 for the next round of our school’s creativity-drive.

Friends of Ambler organised the phenomenal event at the end of April, which saw 48 children and parents complete the high ropes course at Alexandra Palace.

The challenge was carried out in conjunction with Ambler Arts, a volunteer parent group passionate about the importance of creativity, with further donations still being accepted until Tuesday 8th May!

All money raised will go towards the launch of MUSIC IN THE MORNINGS  a new initiative to offer subsidised instrumental classes before school. We’ll be starting with violin, cello, guitar and piano and adding drumming classes, ensemble groups, vocal techniques and more later…

The funds will also pay for workshops in art and music across the school, including a graffiti workshop to create a DREAMS-inspired mural for the football cage walls; pottery; mosaic; song-writing; a concert from top classical musicians in assembly and more…

Ambler Arts believe that creativity will be key for our children in their future employment, with the creative sector being one of Britain’s fastest growing industries, contributing more than ever to the economy.

The arts also provide many more skills required in life, such as increasing children’s confidence, improving teamwork and providing a powerful tool for self expression.

Check out some of our favourite photos from the event below and please donate to this wonderful cause, if you can.
