Pupils study a broad range of subjects including history, art and geography in a cross curricular way through the Creative Learning Journey. This topic-based approach enables us to offer an original, exciting and creative curriculum to re-ignite and inspire children’s learning.
Each term children study a different topic, from the Aztecs and Egyptians to the Great Fire of London and the Tudors. Within this children undertake a range of activities. For example when studying the Great Fire of London the children build models of houses from the time, experiment with colour and paints to recreate the fire, read and write about life at the time and research and discuss modern fire safety.
In addition ‘focus weeks’ gives children the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in debating, philosophy, drama, finance and other areas.
Let's make something beautiful together...
